Future Projects
The Brynkinalt Estate is developing proposals in conjunction with Wrexham Borough Council for the restoration of the historic Walled Gardens at Brynkinalt.
The aim is to restore the gardens to productive use in a modern and sustainable way to ensure the future maintenance and deliver public benefit. It is hoped that a planning application will be submitted in October 2009.
Work continues on the restoration of the formal West Garden and the Shrubbery which was originally designed by Charlotte Lady Dungannon between 1790 and 1820 and was then added to by Rosamund Lady Trevor in 1905.
Work carried out in 2008 and 2009 includes significant replanting and the restoration of a series of ornamental ponds. It is hoped that restoration will be sufficiently complete to enable the gardens to be open to the public in the summer of 2011. |
